At Atomic Cycle Works Garage in Middlefield, Connecticut, we love transforming factory seats into one-of-a-kind, rider-focused masterpieces—and this custom Harley-Davidson Road Glide seat build is no exception.
What started as a standard Harley-Davidson Touring seat quickly turned into a sleek, stylish, and performance-enhancing upgrade tailored specifically for our customer’s riding needs.
🧰 What We Did:
We began with the OEM factory foam, but we didn’t stop there. Our first move was to narrow and sculpt the foam for better rider ergonomics and comfort. Then, we lowered the rear section of the seat to give the bike a more aggressive stance and enhance the rider’s seating position—improving both form and function.
🧵 The Cover: Style Meets Durability
The seat was wrapped in a high-quality black imitation leather vinyl, selected for its durability, comfort, and weather resistance—perfect for touring bikes. To make it pop, we stitched it with wide orange thread in a bold diamond stitch pattern, giving it that custom look that stands out without screaming.
